Word Of Warning – Non-Apple Chargers
Last week or the week before, my Wife was on Amazon.co.uk, she had seen Charger for my iPod Touch, the type of charger that plugs into the wall. You know the type, right?
Now me being me, I started to look at the reviews and on this first one, the reviews were really really bad, so I, myself, started to look at other chargers, I had seen one, with good reviews, so I thought I’ll try it and see how it goes.
Delivery
The Charger I had picked out got delivered to our house in under a week as it with most things from Amazon.
Took it out of the packaging, had the CE Mark, so I thought it must be OK if that is on it! Boy, was I wrong! Plugged it in, seemed OK, unplugged it and put it on a shelf.
Few days later came back to it, I wanted to charge it downstairs as I was watching a program. Went into our kitchen to get a buscuit for my coffee which I just made and as I walked back into the Living Room, I seen a really bright light & within a split second I heard a quite loud bang.
Went over to the iPod Touch and checked to see if it was or wasn’t alright, of course, my luck being what it is, it wasn’t, the charger had went bang & took my iPod Touch with it. So, no more iPod Touch for me for a while.
The moral of the story is, DON’T BE BUYING NON-APPLE CHARGERS, my advise is stick to Apple Chargers I.E. Apple Supplied Chargers

HTML5 Video for iPad
Not long ago I seen a tweet by Ed Dale, here is the link, It was how Trey Smith got HTML5 working on an iPad, I have been able to do this also!
Here how I have done my set up, I saw a tweet (sorry can’t remeber who it was), but it was along the lines that LongTail Video, had an Beta version of they’re really nice Flash Player, JW Player, I was on the home page on LongTail Video, and I seen this link to a service called Bits On The Run & I thought, nice service, I think I’ll give the free trail a go and see what it was like, it was only when I was on the inside, I saw the video you upload to the service was in H.264, which if you don’t know already, is the recommended format for HD Video playback on the web.

Have people contribute to your blog… No Plugins Needed!
I have figured out another great thing todo with WordPress, it’s a great way to have people contribute to your blog & this all came about while I was reading this great article by Alice Seba, it’s called Why Do All The Work?.
Now the reason I got around to thinking about this is because under Reprint Content, you’ll see the words ‘Submit an article’, and that lead me to thinking “I think I know how you can do that already, within WordPress & WITH NO PLUGINS NEEDED!”
Here how you go about enableing it on your blog,
- Go To http://www.YourDomain.com/wp-admin/options-general.php enable these two setting you see in the picture below. I think they are about half way down the screen.
Log out of Admin, and create another user, by going to: http://www.YourDomain.com/wp-login.php?action=register- Log in as your second user at: http://www.YourDomain.com/wp-login.php
- Go to post a new blog post as you normally do and you should see where the Publish button is, it now says “Subit For Review” just like in the picture below.
